ACACIA Cd's
Make wonderful Gifts!

(Sunset behind Acacia Tree photo seen top left of our website's heading)  Gail & her Partner Wayne along with their friend Charlene Billard & many other fabulous Guest Musicians & friends have released their first Musical CD entitled "What Matters".   Heartfelt lyrics were born from real-life experiences of the trio and most have a Christian nature; all focus on Family ... love ... peace.   Tunes range from Country ... rock ... easy listening ... bluegrass ... motown:  satisfying the musical palette of pretty much everyone.

(In 2008 we donated $1 of every CD sold to The Kid's Help Phone Charity in honor of Miss. Kerri-Lea Dixon.  This year, our $1  charitable donation is going to
 The Salvation Army

Gail & Wayne continue to provide Musical Performances across the Maritimes as 'Acacia' with songs from their own original repetoire (on "What Matters") as well as old & new radio favourites (see below for dates)!

GUITAR STANDS

The Spoonstudio has an international reputation for designing/hand-crafting wood guitar stands ... custom built according to the specifications of your instrument.  With Clients from California to Hampton, England ... we ensure a personal rapport and constant contact with each during the building process.  This way, our Customer gets to watch their Stand develop and be part of the process.  Many have commented not only on their satisfaction with the product, but with their feeling of 'connection' to it.  Ordering a Spoonstand is actually an 'experience' ... not simply a purchase.

SPECIALTY ITEMS

We offer 'Churchwood Stands' which are made from carefully dismantled antique Church Pews/Altars that are no longer required.  These Stands arrive to the Client with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' as well as the Story behind the origin of the wood.

Or maybe you would appreciate a  'Memory Stand',  where the Client supplies the materials (something with sentimental value perhaps:  i.e., wood from GrandFathers' Rocking Chair, Tartan Cloth from Great-GrandMothers linen) and we delicately design/construct a Spoonstand for your instrument.

'Every Stand has a story ...'

Here is a Spoonstand with custom- upholstered leather padding that now resides in Key West, Florida!

(Sorry, however we are back-ordered for Spoonstands.  The next availability would be Easter.  Feel free to add your order to our wait list!)

SPOONSTANDS begin at $100CDN plus shipping.  Please contact The Spoonstudio to discuss your order, we will be happy to begin this journey with you!

Namaste ...

PEWELRY

These unique Pewelry crosses were hand-crafted from the wood of an antique, dismantled Church Pew.  This Pew was rescued from the 1960 fire which destroyed the original St. Peter's Anglican Church located at the corner of Caldwell Rd. and Cow Bay Rd. in Eastern Passage (where the present Graveyard sits).  If you visit the St. Peter's Graveyard, you will see a Black Stone Monument that sits on what remains of the Foundation of that 1st Church.  On this Monument celebrating 175 years of The Parish, you will see an etching of both the original building and the present building which is located across the street.  This etching was copied from a drawing done by Gail as well.

As you wear your wooden cross, remember that m
any prayers have been asked/answered from the Pew
of which it was created.  Perhaps it will give you strength in times when you need it and peace in times when you don't ... as all crosses do.

**************************

Note:  It is said that the wood from the  'Acacia' tree was used to  make the Ark of the Covenant (being plentiful in that area).  The tree has angular spreading branches as shown in the silhouette photo above, that are covered in thorns among clusters of sweet-smelling flowers.  It is believed that the crown of thorns Jesus wore at his crucifixion may have been those from the Acacia tree.  The Spoonstudio also has a beautiful supply of Acacia wood from which Pewelry crosses can be made.  Prices for all Pewelry begin at $10CDN.
